JC International is a US domestic & international tax and business services company. JCI is an authorized Internal Revenue Service (IRS) processor for Individual Tax Identification Numbers (ITIN).

What is an Enrolled Agent (EA)?

Unlike CPAs, Enrolled Agents are solely dedicated to providing quality tax services for clients year-round. We live and breathe taxes! Enrolled Agents are authorized by the IRS and the Department of the Treasury of the United States of America.

Each EA is a federally licensed tax specialist that is granted by the IRS unrestricted rights to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service for all tax matters. The IRS considers Enrolled Agents as an elite group in the income tax field.

EAs are required to earn continuing education credits each year to keep up to date with ever-changing tax laws and regulations. Each agent maintains a high standard of ethics and knowledge of the business in compliance with IRS publication Circular No. 230 (published by the Internal Revenue Service).

What is a Certified Acceptance Agents (CAA)?

CAA is someone who, pursuant to a written agreement with the IRS, is not only authorized to assist an alien individual and other foreign person in obtaining ITINs for tax purposes, but also assumes a greater responsibility in facilitating the application process.

What is ITIN?

An ITIN is a tax processing number, issued by the Internal Revenue Service, for certain resident & nonresident aliens, their spouses and their dependents. ITIN is only available to individuals who are required to have a tax payer identification number for tax purposes but who do not have and are not eligible to obtain a Social Security Number (SSN) from the Social Security Administration (SSA).

Jay Chakraborty ,the founder & CEO of JCI, comes from an extensive background in Business Finance ,Payroll ,General Accounting as well as domestic & International Taxes.

His professional career got its early start in New York City where he worked for UBS Warburg, Time Warner/HBO, and United Nations in various aspects of finance and accounting, in the capacity of a Manager & Director. Among Jays most challenging assignments was directing a small group of professionals processing payroll tax for over 5,000 employees in a multi-national company involving domestic personnel and expatriates.

For the last seven years, Jay has been involved with the Internal Revenue Service program, VITA/TCE, in Central New Jersey in the capacity of Site Leader, helping local communities in Central New Jersey with their Tax filling. He is certified in the field of advanced Tax, as well as, international and military tax preparation. Prior to forming JC International, LLC, he achieved specialized authorization by the IRS to perform as a Certified Acceptance Agent (CAA) completing forensic tests for Fraud document recognition for Financial Services and Law Enforcements and is authorized to process Individual Tax Identification Numbers (ITIN). He is also a Federally Licensed Enrolled Agent authorized by Internal Revenue Service making him part of an elite group of tax professionals in the United States.

Jay is a member of NAEA and NJSEA, as well as prestigious New Jersey Business & Industry Association(NJBIA)

During his down time, Jay is an avid pet lover and is involved with several animal welfare and rescue organizations across New Jersey.
